Once a cake is baked, set the timer for ten minutes, take a butter knife around the edges.

Flip the cake when the ten minutes is up.

Pound on the bottom edge of the pan.

The cake should release as long as the pan was greased or sprayed well, then floured, leaving no shiny spots.
